Music as only a portion of people may or may not know is also used as a learning tool. If you have watched TV in the past then you may have seen the commercials advertising and heard of the Mozart music theory that if you play Mozart while a child is learning they will become smarter. There is a correlation but it is not just Mozart's collection that has the ability to do such marvelous things. Other music can be used as well, but they all must be used in a certain way, and depending on age a certain time also. 

It is best used during the critical period of a child which is the time where it is easiest to learn new things such as language. If used during this time the child has a better chance of being a more intelligent person than if used at a later time although it can still work.  If you think about it, if everyone in the world did everything to make their children smarter, we would probably be more technologically advanced by now.  ​
